Wales Squash & Racketball is a highly professional organisation, contributng to the successful development of squash and racketball in the UK. It is looking for professional organisations to become key partners, jointly or solely, to help meet its objectives - as set out in its Mission Statement - to drive squash to ensure successful development at both participation and performance levels across Wales, at all ages, male and female.

We would like to answer some of your questions and in doing so give a greater understanding of our organisation:

Q. What type of audience can we expect to embrace?

A. currently Wales Squash & Racketball has over 4000 affiliated adult and junior members and over 200 affiliated referees and 100 affiliated coaches. This alone provides a credible communication channel to develop brand loyalty.

Q. Give me an idea of how much traffic goes through the website

A. The Welsh Junior Open and Welsh Junior Closed over 6 days had over 2,000 hits; and a hyperlink to your company's website could be set up.

Q. Does Wales Squash & Racketball have any literature?

A. Your company logo or brand name would feature on all Wales Squash & Racketball literature, including the following:

Handbooks, letterheads, promotional materials, tournament and other posters, entry forms, score cards and marking sheets for matches, newsletters. There would also be an opportunity to put out advertising/flyers in club drops.

Q. Can an individual tournament be sponsored?

A. Yes - there are junior and senior tournaments, all are well attended and would have press coverage.

Q. What is the cost?

A. depending on how much of the package is given, the cost of sponsorship can range from £200 to £10,000.

Q. is it possible to sponsor a junior project at grassroots level?

A. Yes. Wales Squash & Racketball hold junior Development Tournaments throughout Wales and would welcome sponsorship for any of these events. Rather than paying a cheque to Wales Squash & Racketball you could pay for the T-shirts that are given to each junior participating in the event. Both your own and the Wales Squash & Racketball logo would be featured on the T-shirts.

Sponsorship is a powerful marketing tool - particularly when used as part of an interactive relationship between sponsor and sport.

Sponsorship can support all areas of a Company's marketing and commercial strategy, including communication with its customers.

Squash is played by a wide range of ages from grassroots level through to World class players. Over 3000 adults in Wales regularly participate in the sport. Over the last 6 years there has been an upsurge in the number of juniors participating. It is contended that sponsorship is one of the marketing vehicles to be able to impact on this area.
